This course is intended to provide a foundation of techniques commonly used by wildlife biologists in data collection and analysis. For many of you this will be one of your final courses in wildlife biology before you enter the profession or continue your studies in graduate school.

Dana Winkelman has been with the USGS Cooperative Research Unit program for over 20 years and has served as Unit Leader for the Colorado Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit since 2003. He also is an Associate Professor in the FWCB department. He earned a BS and MS at University of Nevada, Reno and a PhD from University of Georgia. His research interests include population dynamics, fish biology, fish disease, fish tracking and movement, and aquatic contaminants.
